Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how RedSide Security LLC (“RedSide”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the LeakWatch website and platform (the “Service”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Some expire when you close your browser; others stay for a set period unless you delete them. We use them only as described below.

2. How we use cookies

We use cookies to keep the Service secure and working, remember optional preferences, record your cookie choices, and—with your permission—to understand how the Service is used. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Analytics does not use session replay (webvisor).

3. Cookie inventory

The table below lists cookies and similar technologies we use. Third-party analytics cookies are set only after you accept Analytics in the cookie banner.

4. Cookie categories

4.1 Essential cookies (always active)

Required for sign-in, security, CSRF protection, and remembering your cookie choices. They cannot be turned off in our cookie banner without breaking the Service.

4.2 Preference cookies (optional)

Used only if you accept Preferences in the cookie banner or in Cookie settings in the footer.

4.3 Analytics cookies (optional)

If you accept Analytics, we load Yandex Metrika to collect pseudonymous statistics (pages visited, navigation paths, link clicks, referrer, and general device/browser signals). We have disabled session replay (webvisor). Yandex may set its own cookies (for example _ym_uid, yandexuid). Analytics data may be processed in Russia and other countries under Yandex’s privacy terms and Metrika terms. Where required, we rely on your consent and appropriate transfer safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Managing your choices

On your first visit, a banner at the bottom of the page lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customize cookies by category. Reject and Accept are equally prominent.

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time by clicking Cookie settings in the site footer. If you withdraw consent, optional cookies will not be set on future visits; you may need to clear cookies in your browser settings for changes to take full effect.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from signing in.

6. Legal bases (EEA / UK)

Essential cookies and the record of your choices are used because they are necessary to provide a secure Service and to respect your preferences (legitimate interests / strictly necessary under ePrivacy rules). Optional preference and analytics cookies are used only with your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings.

7. Updates to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change how we use cookies on the Service. We will post the updated policy and revise the “Last updated” date. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent again before using new optional cookies.
